Day 1 – Nairobi to Samburu Game Reserve
You will depart Nairobi after the breakfast and drive through the coffee and tea plantations of the Kenyan highlands and down into the Laikipia plains and the semi-arid of Samburu County to arrive in time for your lunch. After the lunch, you will relax at the lodge before joining an afternoon game drive in search for the unique game species particular to this reserve such as the Baisa oryx, reticulated giraffes, and Grevy zebras. You will stay overnight at Samburu Lodge or similar. Today, your lunch and dinner are included.
Day 2 – Explore Samburu Game Reserve
Today, you will spend the day on morning and afternoon game drives. You will enjoy your lunch in between the game drives and some leisure time. Samburu offers great chances of spotting leopard resting on trees along the banks and northern specialist species such as the Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, and the beisa oryx (also referred to as Samburu special five). You will stay overnight at Samburu Lodge or similar. Your breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included in the prices.
Day 3 – Samburu to Lake Baringo/Lake Bogoria
You will drive across the Northern Frontier District to Lake Baringo, a freshwater Rift Valley lake, famous for its magnificent bird life. Lake Baringo is well known for two of its waters’ residents, hippo, and crocodile. Hippos are seen in the lake on boat trips and at Lakeside lodges and camps. They are seen also seen at night grazing the lawns. Later, drive to Lake bogoria for hot springs.Later, check in at the lake Bogoria and spa for dinner and overnight
Day 4 – Lake Baringo to Lake Nakuru National Park
Today, you will travel to the exotic Lake Nakuru National Park located in the Great Rift Valley. On your way, you will visit Lake Bogoria to view the hot geysers and springs. Lake Bogoria is also a bird sanctuary park with the amazing scenery. You will enjoy a picnic lunch along the way. After the lunch at your lodge in Lake Nakuru, an exciting game run is planned for the afternoon. The game in this park is plentiful and the magnificent bird watching will make a devotee out of even the most reluctant person.
The park is a home to stunning flocks of lesser and greater flamingos, which literally turn the lake shores into a magnificent pink stretch. The bird life here is world renown and over 400 bird’s species exist here such as white Pelicans, plovers, egrets, and Marabou stork. It is also one of the very few places in Africa to see the white rhino and rare Rothschild giraffe. You will stay overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge or similar. You will be served a breakfast, lunch, and dinner included in the prices.
Day 5 – Lake Nakuru National Park to Nairobi
You will take part in a morning game drive to savor the beauty of the park and then return to the lodge for a breakfast. After that, you will depart for Nairobi by road arriving in the afternoon. Today, your breakfast is included in the prices.
